Dinagyang Festival (Iloilo City) – 3rd or 4th weekend of January
The Dinagyang Festival is held every fourth weekend of January. The purpose of this is to honor the Christianization of the natives and Jesus. Dinagyang is Iloilo City’s version of the Ati-Atihan festival because both of them honor Jesus. It's also amazing like Ati-atihan, from it's choreography and creativeness to the liveliness and colorfulness.
Ati-tihan Festival (Kalibo,Aklan)- January
To honor the Sto. Nino they celebrate it every year in January in Kalibo, Aklan, This festival is said to be the "Mother of all Philippine Festivals" since it's very popular.It has been known as the wildest among Philippine fiestas because of it's liveliness and colorfulness. This festival last for 2 weeks and ends on the third sunday of January.

Miagao Iloilo set the Historic Light of Peace of Event for the New World Record
May 24, 2013-To celebrate the "Inaugural Light of Peace Event in the Philippines which promotes “inner peace” to all participants. Ilonggos at Miagao lighted 15,185 sky lanterns at the football field of University of the Philippines. It has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Record for having the most numbers of sky lanterns flown. They have defeated Roman which had 12,000 sky lanterns. It's an achievement that is worth remembering.
